Comments: We suppose you could call your product a salt pig, but if it can also hold sugar, flour, herbs, nuts, spices, coffee, tea, pickles, olives, sprinkles, candies, dried fruits, etc. – and it's got style – you'd want to come up with a clever name like Pop Savor.
The silicon lid pops up and down, allowing you to protect whatever is stowed inside from dust, drips, and spatters (not that any of that is ever found in your kitchen). It does not form an airtight seal and will certainly not protect against humidity, but it does a good job against visible manifestations in the kitchen, and will help you feel that something you use constantly is either cleaner or more accessible or both.
You can reach in for a pinch, use the self-stowing ceramic half-teaspoon, or use any other implement to add salt to a recipe, put sugar on your cereal, or strew flour for rolling a crust. You could think of uses for quite a number of these charming little bowls if you put your mind to it.
